Conservation Communication in Panama: February 20-28, 2027
How can we change perspectives, values, and behaviour? Effective communication is essential and visual communication is one of the most common methods of engagement used today. Through field based work and creative media production participants develop photography, videography, and multimedia production skills while working with Panamanian conservation organizations. We will engage with species, landscapes, and communities to document conservation initiatives in the Mamoní Valley Preserve. The media created during the course will provide our partners with resources to showcase their work, engage the public, and build support for their conservation initiatives.
You will participate in field surveys and site visits during the day and night at select locations in the Upper Mamoní Valley. By combining education with storytelling, we showcase conservation efforts and foster an understanding of resilient ecosystems to promote a healthier future.
And now you ask: What's the bottom line? The answer: $1900 CDN + Flight (estimated at $1000 CDN return)
