ideal for field technicians, students, citizen scientists, and anyone interested in gaining practical skills and knowledge about amphibians and Reptiles

Courses are a blend of an in-person class/live online seminars, online modules, and in-person field training days. The dates below are the dates for the in-person class/live online seminars. You can register for the course and access the recordings if you are unable to attend the live sessions. Modules can be completed at a time and pace that suits your schedule. Once you have completed the modules for a course, you can select from a variety of field days in the months of April, May, June, August, September, and October. Locations for field days are in southwestern Ontario, central Ontario, and southeastern Ontario.


Next Online Seminar Dates:
The dates listed below are the dates for the live online sessions. Each day consists of three live session scheduled as follows:
  • Session 1: 9:00 am - 11:00 am
  • Session 2: 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
  • Session 3: 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Amphibian Ecology & ID: Saturday January 25, 2025 [Course Details]
Reptile Ecology & ID: Saturday February 1, 2025 [Course Details]
Monitoring Amphibians & Reptiles: The amphibian and reptile courses or a herpetology course are prerequisites for enrollment in the monitoring course. Sunday March 15, 2025 [Course Details]
Three Course Package: Register for all three courses for $300 and save $45.
